Dental Care Veterinary Hospital In Huntingdon Valley

Dental disease is the single most commonly diagnosed problem in small animal veterinary practice. Approximately 85% of dogs and cats already have dental disease by the time they are two years of age. In the past, virtually nothing was done to prevent or treat dental disease in our pets. Now, we take a more proactive approach, attempting to Prevent Disease, and treating more aggressively when it is present.

Sunday Funday Presented By World of Animals

World of Animals Veterinary Hospital will be hosting their Fourth Annual Sunday Funday to benefit Red Paw Emergency Relief Team on Sunday, June 3rd from 10am-3pm at 3258 Knights Road, Bensalem PA 19020.

World of Animals' Sunday Funday is a day for pets and pet lovers, young and old, to get together to benefit displaced pets in our region. The day will include music, food, games, canine demonstrations and lots of fun! We will have pet-friendly vendors, as well as rescue organizations with dogs and cats looking for their forever homes. We would like to do more for this wonderful organization and with your help, we can! In order to make this event truly successful, we are looking for help in spreading the word about this worthy organization.

In 2011 when World of Animals opened it's first Veterinary Hospital, Red Paw Emergency Relief Team was being founded by a Philadelphia fire Fighter. Red Paw Emergency Relief Team is an emergency response organization whose mission is to assist displaced pets and their people 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, free of charge so that all family members are taken care of during and after a disaster in their home, and reunited once they recover. Red Paw responds to hundreds of calls each year and has cared for thousands of pets since its inception in 2011. World of Animals has provided shelter or medical care for over two dozen of Red Paw’s displaced dogs & cats while their families recovered from disasters in their homes. In 2015 World of Animals hosted our first Sunday Funday to benefit Red Paw –the event has grown each year, and in 2017 we were able to present the Red Paw organization with a check for $8,500.

Our goal for 2018 is to increase our fundraising efforts so we can help even more local families and their pets.

Flea and Tick Control Huntingdon Valley Veterinary Hospital

Fleas And Ticks can cause many medical problems, ranging from anemia due to blood loss from multiple bites, to severe skin problems on animals allergic to fleas, to the various illnesses which are transmitted by these vectors of disease. Because of their importance in causing these problems, fleas and ticks should be addressed when they are found on our companion animals.
